WE used to frequent Koko s Cafe in downtown McAllen, Texas back in the early 2000s. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious.
The humble eatery held its own. It was a Mexican restaurant that also served American dishes.
Lunch was their strong suit. The restaurant was usually packed. You had to get there in time to get a table.
How are they doing in these days of the Coronavirus Pandemic?
WE will be calling to see if Koko's is opened for inhouse business or if it is still "to go".
